CPS Test 100 Seconds

This is the endurance version of the click speed test. You click the left button for a full 100 seconds, and the counter tracks your total clicks the whole way through. It measures how well you hold a rate over time, not how fast you can spike for a few seconds.

Your sustained speed here will be a lot lower than a short burst, and that is normal. The hand tires, the wrist stiffens, and the rate drops in the back half. The number that matters is your average: total clicks divided by 100. That is your real clicks per second across the run, not a peak you hit once.

How to read your result

450-600 clicksAverageAbout 4.5 to 6 clicks per second sustained. This is a solid endurance result for most people using a normal single-finger tap. Consistency from start to finish matters more than the first 10 seconds.
600-800 clicksFastRoughly 6 to 8 clicks per second across 100 seconds. This takes a relaxed, trained motion and good pacing. Bursty jitter clicking rarely holds up this long, so a steady rhythm is doing the work.
800+ clicksVery fastOver 800 total, or 8 clicks per second and up sustained. Rare over a full 100 seconds and usually a technique-heavy result. Watch for hand strain and stop if you feel any pain.

Why 100 seconds is much slower than a 5 second burst

On our main 5 second test people often hit 6 to 10 clicks per second because they only have to hold it for a moment. Over 100 seconds that same effort collapses. The small muscles in your finger and forearm fatigue within the first 20 to 30 seconds, and your rate settles into whatever you can actually maintain. Expect your average CPS here to land well below your 5 second peak. That gap is the point of this test: it shows stamina, not spike.

Pace it, do not sprint it

The most common mistake is starting at full speed. You post a big number for 15 seconds, then your hand cramps and the rate falls off a cliff for the remaining 85. A better plan is to pick a rate you think you can hold the whole way, start slightly under it, and keep it even. A steady 5 per second for 100 seconds beats 9 per second that dies at the 20 second mark. Watch the counter climb at a constant pace rather than chasing an early lead.

Why jitter and butterfly clicking fall apart here

Jitter clicking tenses your arm to create fast vibration, and butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. Both can produce huge short bursts, but both rely on tension or timing that you cannot hold for a minute and a half. Jitter fatigue sets in fast and the vibration goes ragged. Butterfly rhythm drifts and double-registers or misses. Over 100 seconds a relaxed, repeatable single-finger tap usually wins because it costs you the least energy per click.

Strain is real over a full 100 seconds

Clicking hard for a short burst is one thing. Doing it for 100 continuous seconds loads your finger tendons and forearm far more, and repeated long sessions are how people invite wrist and finger pain. Keep your hand loose, do not slam the button, and rest your forearm on the desk. If you feel any sharp pain, burning, or numbness, stop immediately. No score on a browser test is worth an injury. Warm up your hand first and take breaks between runs.

Read your average, not your peak

This page reports a total, and the useful figure is total divided by 100. That gives your true sustained clicks per second. A total of 500 means 5 CPS held across the run, which tells you far more than the fastest single second you managed. Why is my score so much lower than the 5 second test?
